Set up TV once.
They just tap.

Mellow TV is for older relatives who find TV apps confusing. You choose their channels and give each one a picture. They see big tiles, tap one to watch, and can call you if something goes wrong.

How it worksQuestions

Two people, two simple jobs

The family member does the setting up, once. The person watching never sees a menu.

You, the family member

  • Add the TV source the household already has: a playlist link or file, a stream link, or a login from the TV provider.
  • Pick up to 12 channels. Give each a short name, a photo or picture, and a colour.
  • Choose big or extra-big text and whether channel names are read aloud.
  • Add your phone number for the “Call” button, and lock it all with a 4-digit PIN.
  • Print a one-page guide to leave next to the phone.

Them, the person watching

  • Big picture tiles. One tap plays the channel.
  • Three large buttons while watching: Previous, Channels, Next.
  • The channel name is read out loud when it changes.
  • If a channel stops, the app quietly tries again. If it still fails, it says so in plain words and offers a big button to call you.
  • Can open straight into the last channel watched.

How it works

  1. Choose “for someone else” and set a PIN only you know.
  2. Add the TV source you already pay for or are allowed to use.
  3. Pick and decorate their channels. Fewer is easier: 4 to 8 works well.
  4. Hand the phone over. Change anything later from “Settings for family”.

Mellow TV includes no channels. It plays TV sources you already have, from your TV provider or other services you are allowed to use. To try it first, use “Try with sample channels” in the app: four short test streams we made ourselves.

Private by design

No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Channels, photos, the phone number and the PIN stay on the iPhone. Read the Privacy Policy.
